When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and phone number (if you choose to enable SMS notifications). If you sign in via a third-party provider, we receive basic profile information from that provider.
To run eligibility checks, we collect information about your business, including your company name, registration number, CSD (Central Supplier Database) number, BBBEE level and certificate details, CIDB contractor grading, annual turnover range, operating provinces, years in operation, and any certifications or accreditations you add to your profile. This information is used solely to score your company against tender requirements and is never sold to third parties.
We record which tenders you search for, save, or check, as well as the eligibility scores generated for your company. We also collect information about how you interact with the app — such as pages visited, features used, and session duration — to help us improve the service.
If you enable tender alerts, we store your selected industries, regions, and notification preferences (email or push) so we can send you relevant matches. You can update or remove these preferences at any time from your settings.
When you purchase credits, your payment is processed securely by PayFast. Tendly does not store your card number, CVV, or banking details. We retain a record of the transaction amount, date, credit pack purchased, and payment status for billing and support purposes.
We may collect information about the device you use to access Tendly, including device type, operating system version, app version, and IP address. On mobile, this includes whether the app is running on Android or iOS. This information helps us diagnose technical issues and ensure compatibility.
Tendly does not collect copies of your company documents, BEE certificates, tax clearance certificates, or any other physical documents. You are never required to upload files to use the platform. We do not collect government identity numbers or personal identification documents.
